Most people don’t realize that the resume they submit online most probably will be printed so that several partners/associates will have it in hand when they interview you.  Therefore, you should make sure that your name and the page number are at the top of each page.  It would be terrible if a page were to be lost.

People send me their resumes all the time and identify them with either a number they have given it known only to them or the date.  Please be mindful that recruiters get resumes all the time and if you want yours to be locatable, please put your last name first, first name and the date.  I will still have to fill in your JD year and specialty, but it will help me ever so much in correctly indexing and finding your paperwork.
